Overview

This role supports contract response, deal lifecycle management, and legal operations across the organization. As larger enterprise customers and more complex RFPs come in, the team needs a dedicated owner to ensure responses, contracting, and handoffs are organized, consistent, and executable—so Sales and customer teams can focus on customers while Operations can deliver clear commitments.

The position reports to the President and works closely with Business Development, EPR, Sales & Marketing, Business Operations, Compliance, and Finance. The role is new and will grow as the business does.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and redline MSAs, SOWs, and customer agreements; serve as the first point of review for customer paper, flagging issues and escalating to external counsel when needed.
  • Apply the same contracting discipline to vendor agreements, including logistics and procurement agreements, starting in the first year.
  • Build and own a central response library, standard contract template, and clause bank.
  • Project manage RFPs, security questionnaires, and customer onboarding from intake through submission.
  • Maintain alignment between proposals, signed contracts, and what Operations can deliver; surface risks early.
  • Translate signed contracts into clear obligations for Operations and Customer Success, captured in internal systems.
  • Build and maintain a register of customer requirements and commitments as the single source of truth for promises made; support Compliance audits against renewals and key dates.
  • Set response SLAs and implement a repeatable workflow to improve speed, consistency, and quality.
  • Help define and improve how contracts are stored and shared across the business, including which contract information belongs in the CRM, sub-system, financial system, or legal register.
  • Flag new requirements from contracts and legal changes for Compliance’s legal register.
  • Support the President and VP Finance on corporate-commercial legal matters.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years in commercial contracts, contract management, or proposals/RFPs.
  • Confident drafting and redlining across MSAs and SOWs, with a strong eye for non-standard terms and risk.
  • Law clerk or paralegal training with corporate-commercial experience is a strong asset; a law degree is not required.
  • Experience maintaining a legal register or tracking regulatory requirements is an asset.
  • Familiarity with ISO or R2 certifications is a bonus (training on the organization’s certifications will be provided).
  • Strong project management and cross-functional coordination skills, including the ability to run several deadlines at once and challenge constructively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bonus: recycling, logistics, ITAD, or B2B-services background.
  • Bonus: CRM/CLM familiarity.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Compensation: $85,000 - $105,000 per year.
  • Company-paid Extended Health & Dental Benefits (day 1)
  • Disability and Life Insurance
  • Short term Incentive Program
  • RRSP Match Program up to 4%
  • 3 weeks’ vacation
  • Education Reimbursement Program
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Safety Shoes & Glasses Reimbursement
  • Employee Purchase Program (up to 22% off on Qnovum.ca)

Location

  • Remote (Canada or US), with some travel across sites and to customers/partners.
  • Supports all Canada, US, and Costa Rica locations and customers globally.

Employment Type

  • Full-time, permanent
