Overview
A remote opportunity is available for a Senior Staff Attorney to litigate cases throughout Massachusetts. This role is suited for an attorney with trial and litigation experience in premise liability, products liability, commercial and personal automobile accidents, construction site accidents, subrogation, and property damage claims. The position involves working collaboratively with experienced litigators and independently managing cases to achieve optimal litigation outcomes. The attorney will report to the Staff Legal Managing Attorney.
Responsibilities
- Independently handle lawsuits involving premise liability, products liability, commercial and personal automobile accidents, construction site accidents, subrogation, and property damage claims.
- Prepare pleadings, written discovery, reports, motions, and briefs supporting defense strategies without supervision.
- Conduct legal research and independently develop and present defense strategies.
- Analyze substantive and procedural legal and factual issues.
- Provide effective and timely communication, legal advice, and other services to clients and claims customers in a technology-driven environment.
- Communicate with courts, witnesses, opposing counsel, and co-counsel following established office procedures.
- Independently prepare and present witnesses and evidence at trials, judicial hearings, and alternative dispute resolutions.
- Ensure prompt, efficient, and effective disposition of assigned cases.
- Attend continuing legal education seminars to maintain a high level of professional expertise.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of tort litigation experience preferred.
- Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in Massachusetts and a member in good standing of the Massachusetts Bar.
- Admission to the Rhode Island or New Hampshire Bar is a plus.
- Federal court admission is a plus.
- Strong legal research and writing skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize duties and manage time effectively.
- Strong communication, computer, and technological skills, with the ability to quickly learn and leverage new software.
Compensation & Benefits
- Annualized base pay range: $132,400 - $198,600.
- Actual base pay may vary based on performance, proficiency, and demonstration of required competencies.
- Compensation package may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition.

- Remote position with litigation responsibilities throughout Massachusetts.
