Overview
A Senior Staff Attorney position is available to litigate cases throughout Nevada. This role is suited for an experienced attorney with significant trial and litigation experience in Premise Liability, Products Liability, and Commercial and Personal Automobile accidents. The attorney will independently manage cases from inception through trial and report to the Staff Legal Managing Attorney.
Responsibilities
- Handle complex and high exposure litigation cases
- Analyze substantive and procedural legal and factual issues; conduct extensive legal research
- Develop and present defense strategies independently
- Prepare complex pleadings, written discovery, depositions, motions, and briefs without supervision
- Provide timely legal advice and information to clients and claims customers in a technology-driven environment
- Communicate effectively with courts, witnesses, opposing counsel, and co-counsel following office procedures
- Ensure prompt, efficient, and effective disposition of assigned cases
- Prepare and present witnesses and evidence at trials, judicial and administrative hearings, and alternative dispute resolutions
- Research, draft, file, and argue appellate briefs in reviewing courts
- Provide legal opinions to Managing Attorney, Assistant Managing Attorney, staff, clients, and claims customers
Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice in Nevada state and local federal courts
- Member in good standing of the applicable Bar Association
- Minimum of 5 years of tort legal experience
- Documented first chair jury trial and appellate expertise preferred
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication, computer, and technological skills, including the ability to quickly learn new software and AI tools

Compensation & Benefits
- Annualized base pay range: $132,400 - $198,600
- Actual base pay may vary based on performance, proficiency, and demonstration of required competencies
- Total compensation package may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and recognition programs
