Overview
A financial services organization is seeking a Commercial Title Officer to join their Energy group within the National Commercial Services division. This role involves providing underwriting support and counsel related to the issuance of real estate title insurance commitments and policies, primarily focused on commercial real estate transactions.
Responsibilities
- Provide underwriting support, counsel, and authorization to company personnel, agents, and customers regarding real estate title insurance commitments and policies
- Utilize underwriting standards and guidelines within delegated authority limits to underwrite title insurance issuance
- Guide company personnel in performing real estate settlement services
- Issue underwriting standards and guidelines following established company processes
- Communicate information related to underwriting and real estate settlement services to the team
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 8-10 years of title underwriting experience, with commercial experience preferred
- Familiarity with real estate law, including federal and state regulations
- Strong understanding of real estate title and settlement processes, concepts, practices, and procedures
- Strong analytical skills and business acumen
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to provide alternative solutions or convey difficult information tactfully
- Ability to collaborate effectively and make decisive decisions; build relationships internally and externally
- Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and follow up in a timely manner
- Ability to think abstractly and develop creative solutions
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $129,300 to $172,300 annually
- Pay is based on factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements, and geographic location
