Overview
A leading organization in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech sector is seeking a Senior Commercial Attorney specializing in Transactions. This role supports high-impact legal work that directly influences business performance and team success. The position involves collaboration across multiple functions to advance priorities, solve complex challenges, and deliver measurable results. Location: Remote (U.S. based candidates only; no visa sponsorship available)
Compensation: $217,000 – $271,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Lead drafting and negotiation of commercial agreements related to product launches and marketing activities
- Negotiate pricing, distribution, and reimbursement agreements, including risk-sharing contracts
- Support contracting for government programs such as Medicare, Medicaid, and other public initiatives
- Develop template agreements to streamline commercial operations
- Advise on legal structures for specialty drug distribution networks
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations governing drug distribution practices
- Monitor and communicate regulatory changes impacting pharmaceutical commercialization
Requirements
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
- Admission to a valid U.S. state bar
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in major law firms or in-house legal roles within pharmaceutical companies
- Extensive experience in contract negotiation and drafting within the pharmaceutical sector
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical regulatory compliance and industry standards
- Experience supporting product launches in the pharmaceutical industry
- Proficient legal analysis and precise drafting skills
- Ability to communicate complex legal matters effectively to non-legal stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise with the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA)
- Knowledge of FDA regulations and the Anti-Kickback Statute (AKS)
- Familiarity with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA)
- Experience drafting Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work, and Purchase Orders
- Understanding of the Sunshine Act, Medicare and Medicaid regulations
- Familiarity with Good Distribution Practice (GDP) standards
- Experience with specialty pharmacy provider agreements
- Advising on value-based and outcomes-based contracts
- Proficiency with regulatory compliance software, legal document management systems, and contract lifecycle management tools
- Skills in data analytics for compliance monitoring and risk assessment
- Knowledge of reimbursement modeling and cold chain logistics for temperature-sensitive drugs
