Overview
This role involves leading the development and operation of enterprise data privacy, AI governance, and risk management functions within a fast-growing travel and fintech platform. The position requires collaboration across multiple teams to ensure regulatory compliance and to deliver seamless, legally compliant customer experiences.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies for privacy and risk architecture, including enterprise data privacy and AI governance.
- Collaborate with Security, Product, Finance, and other teams to integrate risk management and unlock new business opportunities.
- Lead the design and implementation of automated workflows (e.g., CCPA/CPRA handling) and structured frameworks such as AI governance and tiered vendor risk programs.
- Provide strategic legal advisory and support to internal partners and clients, ensuring high standards in risk evaluation and incident response.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of hands-on experience in privacy law, either in-house or at a law firm with an established privacy practice.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree with active bar admission in good standing.
- Deep working knowledge of CCPA/CPRA, US state privacy law frameworks, and FTC Section 5 standards.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, innovative environments and solve complex problems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with privacy management platforms such as OneTrust.
- Strong collaborative mindset and willingness to engage across the enterprise.
- Ability to protect material findings through structural privilege and deliver impactful results.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $182,800 to $253,000 USD, dependent on experience, expertise, and location.
- Total compensation may include equity and/or variable pay (OTE).
