Overview

A global telecom and renewables infrastructure investment firm founded in 2003 is seeking a Senior Real Estate Counsel focused on renewables. The organization owns 2,200 sites and facilities hosting wireless, telecom transmission assets, and renewable power generation projects across the United States and Europe. The role supports the company's growth in renewable energy real estate assets in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Lead efforts to support origination and closing of renewable energy real estate assets in the United States
  • Manage a pipeline of deals across the U.S., facilitating communication between pricing, origination, legal, and management teams
  • Negotiate and draft documents for commercial real estate transactions
  • Oversee due diligence activities and underwrite assets considering lease terms, projected cash flow, and operator, offtaker, and facility information
  • Advise on strategic transactions and commercial matters

Requirements

  • 6-12 years of experience as a commercial real estate attorney at a mid to large-sized law firm and in-house at a renewable energy developer
  • Understanding of financing, development, and operation of solar, wind, and battery projects
  • Proficiency with technology and remote work
  • Juris Doctor degree and bar admission in good standing in at least one U.S. state
  • Authorization to work in the United States for any employer without visa sponsorship

Compensation & Benefits
