Overview
This role is an in-house remote opportunity for a Senior Staff Attorney to litigate cases in the New York City area. The position is well-suited for an attorney with litigation experience in No-Fault claims, property damage claims, and motor-vehicle accidents, with the opportunity to handle more complex matters in a collegial and collaborative environment.
The selected candidate must be able to independently handle cases.
Responsibilities
- Independently handle lawsuits involving No-Fault claims, property damage claims, and motor-vehicle accidents, with the opportunity to handle more complex matters
- Prepare pleadings, written discovery, and motions without supervision
- Conduct legal research and independently develop and present defense strategies on behalf of clients
- Analyze substantive and procedural legal and factual issues
- Provide effective and timely communications, legal advice, and other services to claims customers and clients on legal and factual issues in a technology-driven environment
- Communicate with the court, witnesses, opposing counsel, and co-counsel in a manner consistent with established office procedures
- Prompt, efficient, and effective disposition of assigned cases
Requirements
- 3–5 years of legal litigation experience
- Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school
- License to practice in New York State
- Knowledge of New York Supreme and Civil courts
- Member in good standing of the New York State Bar
- Strong legal research and writing skills

Compensation & Benefits
- Annualized base pay range: $132,400 - $198,600
- Base pay may vary based on performance, proficiency, and demonstration of competencies required for the role
- Total compensation may also include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition

- Remote work opportunity with the option to work in the New York City office
