Overview
A legal team representing clients in class and mass actions, individual arbitrations, and multidistrict litigation matters at both trial and appellate levels in federal and state courts is seeking an Attorney with substantial litigation experience and strong legal writing skills. The organization handles high-profile mass tort, antitrust, privacy, product liability, employment, and consumer-rights cases, as well as public-enforcement actions.
Responsibilities
- Draft, revise, and finalize complex legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and written discovery with precision and clarity.
- Collaborate with partners and associates to develop written legal arguments and case strategies.
- Conduct in-depth legal research and produce persuasive, well-structured written analyses.
- Prepare memoranda and internal work product to support litigation efforts.
- Draft client communications and litigation updates for internal and external use.
- Assist with fact development and case workups, ensuring accuracy in all written materials.
- Communicate with courts, outside counsel, clients, experts, and vendors as needed to support written submissions and case progress.
- Ensure compliance of all written work with applicable federal and state procedural rules and court requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Demonstrated strength in legal writing, editing, and written advocacy.
- Experience drafting complex litigation documents across multiple jurisdictions.
- Exceptional attention to detail in written work product.
- Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to synthesize complex legal issues into clear, concise writing.
- Ability to manage multiple writing assignments and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive matters with discretion.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Familiarity with federal and state court rules and procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word (including document formatting and editing), Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Education and Experience
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
- At least three years of litigation experience with a demonstrated focus on legal drafting and writing.
Licenses
- Active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. State Bar.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $100,000–$130,000 per year.
- Year-end discretionary bonus.

Location
- This is a remote position.
- Candidates must be willing to work general business hours between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Central Time.
