Supplier Deal Manager

Overview

This role is within the Procurement team, which supports the core business operations by managing supplier relationships and contracts. The Supplier Deal Management function focuses on streamlining supplier contracting processes, reducing friction for business leaders, partnering with risk and legal teams to minimize risk, and accelerating engagement with key suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Respond to initial inquiries and educate designated responsible individuals (DRIs) on risk assessment and supplier contracting processes
• Conduct initial reviews of use cases and contractual terms, prepare agreements for legal review as needed
• Review and negotiate commercial terms in supplier agreements
• Monitor productivity and communication with DRIs using procurement tools
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Legal, Sourcing, Third Party Risk, and Buyers to develop risk-balanced contract approaches
• Manage engagements within procurement and contract lifecycle management systems
• Support end-to-end contract lifecycle management
• Partner with internal teams to resolve business inquiries and troubleshoot contracting issues

Minimum Requirements

• At least 8 years of professional experience in contracting, procurement, legal operations, or commercial deal negotiation
• Strong understanding of commercial and legal language in contracts, with experience reviewing and drafting contractual language
• Experience negotiating contracts and collaborating effectively with legal teams
• Solution-oriented mindset with enthusiasm for establishing contracting best practices
• Ability to build trust quickly, deliver value in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders, and support opinions with sound reasoning
• Flexibility and comfort adapting to changing requirements in a high-volume environment
• Meticulous attention to detail and rigorous decision-making skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of representing the organization effectively with stakeholders
• Specific contracting experience with technology transactions

Preferred Qualifications

• Broad contracting experience across categories such as technology, marketing, workplace, and services
• Experience designing and managing Contract Lifecycle Management systems
• Familiarity with e-procurement tools and systems (e.g., Zip, Agiloft)
• Understanding of fintech industry supply chain and procurement challenges
• A builder's mindset with a willingness to question assumptions and conventional wisdom
