Overview
A technology law position is available to work on a long-term engagement with a leading global technology company. This role involves providing legal support across various teams including Research & Development, Marketing, Engineering, Product Management, Advertising Sales, and Communications from product inception through launch.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice to cross-functional teams during all stages of product development and launch.
- Draft, review, and negotiate technology contracts such as Cloud and SaaS agreements.
- Support business teams by building consensus on projects including new features, products, services, and programs.
- Review global products, features, and platforms to develop practical legal risk mitigation strategies aligned with company goals.
- Stay current on industry regulations including data privacy, consumer protection, and advertising laws to provide relevant legal guidance.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience at a top law firm and/or in-house legal department specializing in product, technology, commercial, privacy, or intellectual property law.
- Experience managing complex legal projects.
- Called to the bar in Ontario.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in-house at a large technology company.
- Experience collaborating closely with R&D teams and engineers.
- Previous role as Product Counsel with experience launching a product.
Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated total compensation for full-time attorney roles ranges from $114,000 to $250,000 per year.
- Non-attorney roles have an estimated compensation range of $64,000 to $201,000 per year.
- Compensation is determined based on factors such as experience, skills, certifications, location, and business needs.

- This role requires being called to the bar in Ontario.
