Overview

A law firm client is seeking an experienced Texas-licensed corporate attorney with significant non-profit corporation experience to assist in the formation of a new non-profit entity and support all aspects of its involvement in an upcoming transaction. This is a part-time, fully remote engagement. Candidates with experience working with public or private universities will receive special consideration.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the formation of a new non-profit entity
  • Provide legal support related to the non-profit's involvement in an upcoming transaction

Requirements

  • Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Texas
  • Minimum of 7 years of corporate law experience
  • At least 3 years of experience working with or for non-profit organizations in Texas
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • Prior experience in the corporate practice group of a large law firm or sophisticated boutique firm
  • Outstanding professional references

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annualized compensation ranges from $200,000 to $230,000 on a full-time equivalent basis
  • Pay is based on factors including work experience, qualifications, credentials, and location
  • Engagements are W2 employment
  • Eligibility for full benefits when working 20 hours per week, including a Qualified 401(k) plan
  • Benefits include complimentary Group Life, Long-Term Disability (LTD), Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D), and professional liability insurance
  • CLE and professional expense stipends provided
