Overview

Part-time, remote contract role for an experienced Transactional Attorney with strong in-house technology transactions experience. This is a task-based engagement using simulated contract workflows and evaluation of AI-generated responses for contractual accuracy, risk identification, negotiation quality, and practical legal judgment.

Compensation (Full-time equivalent and hourly rate)

  • Annual Compensation Equivalent: $172,800–$249,600/year (calculated at 40 hours/week across 48 workable weeks)
  • Hourly Rate: $90–$130/hr

Because this is task-based, actual earnings depend on completed and approved tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Perform simulated contract negotiations and redlining exercises.
  • Review and assess AI-generated responses to transactional legal scenarios.
  • Identify legal, drafting, interpretation, and risk-related issues in model outputs.
  • Provide detailed, actionable feedback to improve accuracy and precision.
  • Create objective evaluation frameworks and grading criteria for contract-related AI tasks.
  • Apply consistent legal standards when evaluating model performance.
  • Collaborate with product and research teams to refine evaluation guidelines, data, and best practices.
  • Translate practical transactional experience into structured feedback for AI evaluation.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of in-house legal experience focused on technology transactions.
  • Strong experience negotiating and redlining commercial agreements, particularly:
    • Master Services Agreements (MSAs)
    • Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
    • ISDA agreements
    • Derivatives transactions
  • Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and review skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical judgment.
  • Ability to translate legal expertise into clear, actionable feedback.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-disciplinary teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Interest in the intersection of law, technology, and AI.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with AI, legal technology, or professional training initiatives.
  • Experience at a corporate law firm in M&A.
  • Experience with private equity fund formation or related transactional work.
