Overview
A remote, part-time contract opportunity is available for experienced transactional attorneys to contribute to the development of advanced legal AI systems. This role involves applying deep expertise in drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and redlining contracts within the technology sector to help train and evaluate AI models that improve contract risk identification and interpretation.
Responsibilities
- Conduct simulated contract negotiations and redlining exercises.
- Review and assess AI-generated responses to contract scenarios, providing expert feedback to enhance model accuracy and legal judgment.
- Develop objective evaluation frameworks and grading criteria to rigorously assess AI performance on contract-related tasks.
- Collaborate with product and research teams to refine data, guidelines, and best practices for AI-driven contract review tools.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- Minimum of 3 years of in-house legal experience focused on technology transactions, including negotiation of Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), and Data Processing Agreements (DPAs).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate legal expertise into actionable feedback for AI systems.
- Demonstrated commitment to innovation at the intersection of law and technology.
- Experience working with cross-disciplinary teams in fast-paced environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with AI, legal technology, or training initiatives.
- Experience at a corporate law firm in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) or fund formation for private equity firms.
