This is an opportunity to join a full-service law firm specializing in complex corporate, litigation, executive compensation, and private wealth matters. The firm serves founders, senior executives, ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWIs), and their related businesses.
The Private Wealth group advises high-profile clients including business founders, executives managing complex compensation and liquidity events, and multigenerational families with significant inherited wealth. The team is small and focused on providing sophisticated legal services.
Candidates must meet all three of the following pillars:
Foundation: J.D. from a top-tier law school with 2–6 years of trusts and estates experience at an AmLaw 100 firm or recognized private wealth boutique. Experience drafting complex estate plans and working with UHNW client matters is required. An LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning is a strong plus.
Technical & Tax Acuity: Strong understanding of federal transfer tax laws including IRC §§2010, 2642, 2031, and grantor trust rules. Ability to identify issues such as 280G in succession contexts. Comfortable discussing drafting with senior partners and knowing when to seek guidance.
Client Presence: Ability to build long-term client relationships based on trust and discretion. Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially under pressure. Professional demeanor in client meetings is essential.
The firm supports associates who use AI tools for research, document drafting, and tax analysis. There is an investment in building a technology-forward private wealth practice, and curiosity about AI applications in estate planning is welcomed.
Not specified. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
