Overview
Location: Van Nuys (Remote OK)
This role is for an experienced workers’ compensation defense attorney seeking a flexible practice model with compensation and workload tailored to the attorney’s preferred billing approach. Fully remote or hybrid arrangements are available.
Compensation & Benefits
- $300,000 Base + strong bonus potential for high-billing attorneys
- Alternate compensation package: $200k+ for only 190–200 hours

Responsibilities
- Handle a workers’ compensation defense caseload with caseload size generally ranging from 60–90 cases (depending on the desired billing target)
- Practice in a way that aligns with the selected billing model (high-biller or flexible/low-hours)
- Use modern case management and support staff to manage workload effectively

High-Biller / $300K+ Model
- Higher billing expectations
- Approximately 80–95 cases
- $300,000+ base compensation
- Significant additional earning potential through bonuses
Flexible / Low-Hours Model
- 180–200 billable hours/month
- Approximately 60–65 cases
- Lower-volume, more manageable practice
- Performance-based bonuses still available
Requirements
- Experienced workers’ compensation attorney
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload aligned to either a higher-billing or lower-hours practice model
- Preference for a modern, supportive environment with strong support staff and modern case-management systems
