Overview
A growing technology company is seeking a lawyer to join their legal team to support and expand the commercial function. This role involves working closely with go-to-market, business, and cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product, and Security to ensure efficient execution of agreements with customers.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial AI SaaS contracts and other technology and AI-related agreements
- Provide regulatory and product counsel as needed
- Develop training materials and resources to support sales and other cross-functional teams
- Opportunity to engage in broader legal work including product counseling and intellectual property law
Requirements
- Law degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to practice law and in good standing in at least one jurisdiction, with ability to practice in California or New York
- Minimum 3 years of law firm and/or in-house legal experience
- Transactional experience including SaaS, technology, IP licensing, commercial agreements, and/or M&A transactions
- Ability to think creatively, work independently, and proactively in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative and team-oriented work style
- Highly responsive and service-oriented attitude
- Strong project management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AI-related legal matters
- Experience supporting Go-To-Market or Sales teams
- Interest in working within a small, tight-knit team solving complex problems
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $180,000 to $220,000 USD
Location
- Based in New York, NY or San Francisco, CA
- Hybrid work model: 3 days in office per week
- Remote option available for candidates outside these locations
