Associate General Counsel, Product (Americas)

Overview

This role involves providing legal counsel to product and engineering teams within a dynamic technology environment focused on digital commerce. Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice to product teams on a broad range of issues including privacy, consumer protection, and compliance.
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to understand data flows and translate that into practical legal guidance.
• Manage large-scale projects and product launches with long-term strategic goals.
• Identify and oversee cross-functional strategic initiatives related to supported products.
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships across various legal teams.
• Advise on legal aspects of commercial negotiations with strategic partners.

Requirements

• A qualifying law degree and license to practice law in the United States or Canada.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant legal experience in a law firm or in-house legal department.
• Substantial experience counseling product teams on legal issues including privacy, consumer protection, and compliance.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and collaborate across multiple areas.
• Proven capability to drive strategy and vision while managing execution.

• Experience with advertising-related product counseling.
