Overview

This is a full-time remote Attorney at Law position requiring the candidate to reside in California, preferably in the Los Angeles area. The role involves working closely with partners and administrative staff to provide effective legal representation to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Advise clients by evaluating options and planning courses of action toward successful outcomes
  • Identify client conflicts and develop case strategies with resolution options
  • Conduct legal research and draft briefs, pleadings, and motions
  • Argue motions in court during legal proceedings
  • Supervise administrative staff, paralegals, and law clerks
  • Manage a caseload of first-party property insurance claims from inception through resolution, including detailed case assessments and litigation strategy development
  • Provide exceptional client service by delivering case updates, gathering necessary information, and offering legal advice
  • Prepare and present case evaluations and legal recommendations
  • Represent clients in court appearances such as hearings, trials, and mediations; argue motions and present evidence before judges and juries
  • Engage in settlement negotiations with opposing counsel, insurance companies, and other parties, developing strategies to achieve favorable outcomes

Qualifications

  • Licensed to practice law in California (required)
  • Strong public speaking, decision-making, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced proficiency with legal research programs such as Westlaw and Lexis
  • Minimum of 2 years recent experience in First-Party Property Insurance in California (highly preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years litigation experience (highly preferred)
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple files
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual salary range: $160,000 - $220,000
