Overview

A national law firm specializing in creditors’ rights and real estate legal services across 18 states is seeking a Michigan-licensed Attorney. This role offers the opportunity to gain experience in various practice areas with potential for growth based on performance. Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in all stages of the foreclosure process, including contested foreclosures
  • Review all conditions precedent to filing actions, including loan documents, financials, and demand letters
  • Draft and review legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence related to foreclosure actions
  • Conduct legal research and analysis of statutes, case law, regulatory, and servicing requirements
  • Attend court hearings and communicate with opposing counsel
  • Update internal client systems with findings, documentation, and recommendations
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Manage a high volume of work to meet firm, client, investor, and court deadlines
  • Use firm and client systems to track and meet deadlines
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal foreclosure, bankruptcy, and collections requirements as applicable

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor degree
  • Admission to the Michigan State Bar required
  • Admission to federal and bankruptcy courts in Michigan is a plus
  • Prior foreclosure and litigation experience strongly preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office
  • Experience with electronic case management and client systems preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize workloads
  • Ability to work independently
  • Basic knowledge of Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control principles strongly preferred
