Overview

Contract role for a Bankruptcy Attorney (Remote, US Only) supporting an AI training and legal evaluation project.

This position involves analyzing and annotating bankruptcy-related legal documents, drafting sample motions and pleadings, evaluating hypothetical legal scenarios, and assessing AI-generated legal answers for accuracy and alignment with current U.S. bankruptcy law. No prior AI experience is required.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, review, and annotate legal documents specific to bankruptcy law
  • Draft sample motions, pleadings, and court filings for common and complex bankruptcy scenarios
  • Evaluate hypothetical legal scenarios and provide well-reasoned written explanations and argumentation
  • Contribute to educational content and model training datasets relevant to bankruptcy practice
  • Assess model-generated legal answers for accuracy, clarity, and alignment with current U.S. bankruptcy law
  • Participate in written and verbal communications to provide precise input for AI training
  • Identify nuances and emerging trends in bankruptcy law that can improve project quality

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited U.S. law school
  • Active license to practice law in the United States
  • 3–10+ years of recent, hands-on bankruptcy law experience
  • Direct experience handling bankruptcy matters, including filings, court appearances, and advisory work
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly and concisely
  • Judicial clerkship experience, particularly with a bankruptcy or federal judge, preferred
  • Experience teaching law or creating legal instructional materials preferred
  • Legal journal or law review editorial experience preferred

Compensation & Benefits

  • $100–$180 per hour (USD)
