Billing Specialist (Legal)

Overview

A full-time Billing Specialist position is available within the Corporate Billing Department of a professional services organization. This role requires extensive experience in professional service or legal billing and involves full-charge client billing responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Review client contracts and set up matters upon case activation daily.
• Generate client invoices for routine, electronic, and complex billing arrangements.
• Track, follow through, and report on multiple assignments and progress.
• Enter, edit, customize, and process client invoices in accordance with contract terms.
• Perform Work In Progress (WIP) analysis, tracking, and reporting.
• Provide guidance and support to other billing staff as needed once trained and qualified.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years full-charge billing experience in professional services or a law firm.
• Proficiency with 10-key, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience with Workday or Elite 3E billing systems.
• Exceptional organizational skills, strong follow-up abilities, and high attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Capability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities under strict deadlines.
• Team-oriented with a commitment to high-quality customer service for both internal and external clients.
• Consistent attendance and reliability.
• Experience with e-billing systems, including E-Billing HUB, is highly preferred.
• International multi-currency billing experience is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Bankruptcy billing experience preferred.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $58,000 to $85,000 annually.
• Position adheres to a 40-hour work week.

Location

• United States (must have legal right to work without sponsorship).

This role reports directly to the Billing Manager and requires a flexible, highly committed individual focused on accuracy, quality, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
