Overview
A global immigration law firm is seeking an Attorney to support its San Francisco team on a contract basis. This role involves managing a high-volume caseload of employment-based immigration matters, primarily focusing on Non-Immigrant Visa (NIV) cases. The position is fully remote, with a requirement to work Pacific Time hours.
Responsibilities
- Review and assess non-immigrant visa petitions, including H-1B, L-1, TN, E-2, O-1, and related classifications
- Draft and edit petitions, support letters, and legal briefs as needed
- Conduct case assessments and advise internal stakeholders on immigration strategy and eligibility
- Review supporting documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with immigration regulations
- Respond to Requests for Evidence (RFEs) and other government inquiries as necessary
- Manage a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced practice environment
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active U.S. bar admission
- 2 to 5+ years of business immigration experience as a licensed attorney
- Demonstrated experience handling employment-based NIV matters
- Experience reviewing and/or preparing petitions in a high-volume environment
- Strong drafting, analytical, and case management skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting
- Availability to work Pacific Time business hours
