Overview

A nationally recognized immigration law firm with a remote-first team across the United States is seeking a Paralegal with deep expertise in business immigration. This is a permanent, full-time position focused on processing a high volume of PERM Labor Certification cases. The role involves working alongside experienced professionals in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Review and validate documents for effective intake and analyze immigration status based on provided documents.
  • Draft and monitor PERM casework, ensuring accountability throughout the process.
  • Identify and promptly flag potential case-related issues to Attorneys or Senior Case Managers.
  • Use an online immigration case tracking system to monitor case status and activities daily.
  • Draft timely responses to requests for information from government agencies.
  • Communicate with client company representatives and foreign nationals regarding case requirements.
  • Prioritize daily workload according to fluctuating client deadlines while maintaining urgency.
  • Suggest process improvements to Attorneys or Case Managers.
  • Contribute positively to team morale, especially within a remote work environment.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience as an Immigration Paralegal, specifically handling all stages of the PERM Labor Certification process.
  • Bachelor's degree is highly desirable.
  • Genuine interest in U.S. immigration with an empathetic and respectful approach toward clients and foreign nationals.
  • Experience managing a high volume of active and inactive cases simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, including strong spelling and grammar.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
  • Experience communicating directly with client representatives and/or foreign nationals.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and prioritize caseload effectively.
  • Strong computer literacy and ability to adapt to advanced case processing software.
  • Ability to follow due process, templates, and adapt to evolving industry innovations.
  • Minimum intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Teams, Outlook, Word).
  • Friendly, courteous, and respectful demeanor with the ability to work well in a close-knit team.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual salary range: $60,000 - $70,000

  • Remote position with a team based across the United States.
