Overview

An experienced employment litigation attorney is sought for a long-term contract engagement with a California-based boutique law firm. This remote role is ideal for attorneys with at least 3 years of experience in California labor and employment litigation who prefer a collaborative environment without the demanding billable hour requirements of traditional law firms.

Responsibilities

  • Provide labor and employment litigation defense in single plaintiff cases
  • Manage time-sensitive labor and employment issues with responsiveness and client guidance

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience practicing employment law and employment litigation
  • Prior experience in labor and employment litigation defense (single plaintiff)
  • Licensed to practice law in California
  • Excellent academic credentials from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Strong analytical, written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding professional references

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the labor and employment practice group of a large law firm, a well-regarded employment law boutique, or a major corporate legal department

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annualized pay range: $150,000 to $200,000 (full-time equivalent)
  • Pay is determined by factors including experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market conditions, and candidate preference
  • Benefits available for those working 20+ hours per week, including group medical, dental, and vision insurance
