Overview
An organization is seeking an experienced California-licensed commercial litigation attorney for an in-house contract engagement with a large California-based corporate client. This role requires at least 6 years of sophisticated commercial litigation experience, including case analysis, strategy, pre-trial pleadings and motions, trial, and arbitration. The focus areas include breach of contract and real property disputes, consumer claims, securities class actions, and other general commercial disputes.
Responsibilities
- Manage complex commercial litigation cases from inception through trial and arbitration
- Develop case strategies and conduct detailed case analysis
- Draft and respond to pre-trial pleadings and motions
- Handle disputes involving breach of contract, real property, consumer claims, securities class actions, and other commercial matters
Requirements
- Licensed and in good standing to practice law in California
- Minimum of 6 years of complex commercial litigation and trial experience
- Experience gained at an AmLaw 200 firm or a sophisticated boutique firm
- Excellent academic credentials from a U.S. accredited law school
- Outstanding professional references

Compensation & Benefits
- Annualized pay range: $170,000 to $210,000 (full-time equivalent)
- Pay is determined by factors including experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market conditions, and candidate preferences
- Contract professionals are typically W2 employees eligible for full benefits when working 20+ hours per week
