Overview

This role supports a nationally scaling, fully integrated personal injury practice that handles cases from intake through litigation. The organization is seeking a Senior Intake Specialist to manage exception cases—situations where the intake form does not provide enough information to determine whether the matter should be accepted.

In this position, you’ll speak with prospective clients and families during high-stress moments, evaluate potential high-value matters (including commercial and catastrophic injury cases), and provide clear recommendations to managing attorneys on whether to sign, refer, or decline.

Responsibilities

  • Review exception cases and investigate injuries, liability, and potential red flags
  • Identify potential commercial vehicle involvement and catastrophic or high-value issues
  • Conduct empathetic intake conversations and ask targeted follow-up questions to clarify details
  • Provide the managing attorney with a clear recommendation (sign, refer, or decline) and explain your reasoning
  • Document case details in Filevine and the organization’s intake systems
  • Ensure signed cases are handed off cleanly
  • Review intake calls and recommend improvements to agent training and the intake questionnaire
  • Proactively follow up with escalated clients to address concerns, improve satisfaction, and reduce client-initiated withdrawals
  • Collaborate with the managing attorney in your state to sharpen intake criteria over time

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of personal injury law experience
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication
  • Comfort speaking with seriously injured clients and grieving families
  • Strong critical thinking and attention to detail
  • Consistent follow-through in a fast-moving environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Paralegal experience
  • Candidate lives in MS (not required)
  • Bilingual in Spanish

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $60,000–$80,000 (commensurate with experience)
  • Benefits include:
    • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
    • 401(k) with company match
    • HSA
    • Life insurance
    • Disability coverage
    • Paid time off
    • Parental leave

Location

  • Fully remote
  • Preferred: candidate lives in MS (not required)
