Civil Litigation Attorneys

Overview

A national law firm with offices in all 50 states is seeking civil litigation attorneys for its St. Louis office. Candidates with at least two years of experience are preferred, but all experience levels are encouraged to apply.

Applicants should be driven team players with excellent litigation, writing, and persuasive speaking skills. A strong academic background and proven research abilities are required. Candidates must be self-starters capable of handling assignments with minimal supervision. Trial experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Openings are available in defense litigation across various practice areas, including Employment, Complex Commercial, Construction, Healthcare, Professional Liability, Insurance Coverage and Bad Faith, Environmental, Toxic Tort, Product Liability, and General Liability.

Candidates must be licensed and admitted to practice in the State of Missouri; admission in Illinois is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle civil litigation cases in defense practice groups
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
• Participate in hearings, depositions, and trials as needed
• Collaborate with team members and clients
• Manage assignments independently with minimal supervision

Requirements

• Licensed to practice law in Missouri; Illinois admission preferred
• Minimum of two years of civil litigation experience preferred
• Strong academic credentials
• Excellent litigation, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Proven research capabilities
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Trial experience preferred but not required
