Overview
An organization is seeking attorneys to focus exclusively on brief writing in class actions, collective actions, and PAGA matters. This role emphasizes briefing strategy, development of advanced legal arguments, and legal writing, allowing attorneys to deepen expertise in complex, high-impact litigation without managing full cases.
Responsibilities
- Draft substantive motions and briefs after consulting with the trial team to develop briefing strategies.
- Analyze case facts, evaluate and apply relevant legal authority, and create persuasive arguments.
- Prepare motions including but not limited to:
- Motions to dismiss
- Demurrers
- Motions to compel arbitration
- Mediation briefs for class, collective, and/or PAGA matters
- Oppositions to conditional and/or class certifications
- Motions for summary judgment
- Manage briefings across multiple complex matters with confidence and effectiveness.
- Work full-time remotely with a reduced billable hours requirement and no obligation for business travel or business development.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of legal experience in wage and hour class, collective, and/or representative actions, including significant litigation and extensive motion and brief drafting.
- Strong ability to develop practical, well-founded arguments and effectively draft factual and legal arguments on complex matters.
- Active bar license in the state of residence; California bar license preferred.
- Experience specifically in California wage and hour class action and/or PAGA litigation.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $125,000 to $175,000 annually, dependent on experience and education.

- This position is fully remote and can be performed from anywhere in the United States.
