Commercial Litigation Attorney (Big Law Background, AI-Focused)

Overview

A Fortune 100 Telecom Legal Department's AI Native Division is seeking a lawyer with over 5 years of experience in Commercial Litigation for a 6-month full-time remote engagement starting as soon as possible. This role involves hands-on litigation tasks including research, analysis, memo drafting, discovery requests and responses, fact development, chronologies, motions to dismiss (MTD), motions for summary judgment (MSJ), deposition preparation, and trial preparation.

Responsibilities

• Perform litigation tasks such as legal research, analysis, and drafting memoranda
• Manage discovery requests and responses
• Develop facts and chronologies relevant to cases
• Prepare motions to dismiss and motions for summary judgment
• Assist with deposition and trial preparation

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Commercial Litigation
• Prior experience working on complex matters involving accounting, environmental, cyber, breach of contract, and employment issues
• Candidates primarily experienced in managing outside counsel rather than performing litigation tasks directly are unlikely to be a fit
• Strong preference for candidates recently exited from Big Law with at least 4 years of Big Law experience handling the types of matters described
• Ability to work full-time remotely starting immediately
• Willingness or experience using AI tools is preferred

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly rate: $100 - $130, flexible based on experience
• Employment through an Employer of Record (W-2) for the duration of the engagement
