Overview

An established boutique law firm with 11 attorneys is seeking an attorney with 3+ years of legal experience, preferably with a background in litigation, interested in building or transitioning into a commercial and business litigation practice. The firm focuses on advising and representing businesses ranging from growing companies to established enterprises.

Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in complex commercial and business disputes in state and federal courts, arbitration forums, and administrative proceedings.
  • Manage all phases of litigation including case strategy, pleadings, discovery, motions practice, trial preparation, and post-verdict work.
  • Draft, review, and respond to complaints, petitions, answers, counterclaims, motions, and discovery requests involving breach of contract, partnership disputes, business torts, fraud, and unfair competition.
  • Conduct fact investigation, legal research, and analysis to develop and support case theories and legal arguments.
  • Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, corporate representatives, and experts.
  • Participate in and lead court appearances such as hearings, case management conferences, and trial proceedings.
  • Negotiate and structure settlement agreements, including participation in mediation and other alternative dispute resolution processes.
  • Advise clients on litigation risk, strategy, and potential business impact, maintaining clear communication throughout.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in Texas and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
  • Minimum of three years of legal experience.
  • Strong logical reasoning and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and judgment.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $125,000 - $165,000 annually plus performance-based bonuses, depending on experience.
