Overview

This role supports the Commercial Legal team as a Commercial Paralegal. The position primarily supports the commercial and transactional work for the organization’s Mobility lines of business in the Americas. Responsibilities focus on customer and revenue-generating agreements and assisting attorneys across the contract lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Use contract lifecycle management tools to prepare drafts of commercial contracts and amendments, including NDAs, customer contracts, and other revenue-generating agreements (credit agreements, program agreements, referral agreements, technology services agreements, and data sharing agreements) in compliance with applicable policies and risk framework.
  • Under attorney supervision, review customer-requested contract changes; coordinate with designated attorneys and cross-functional stakeholders to gather feedback/approvals and update documents accordingly.
  • Assist attorneys with preparation, review, and execution of legal notices, correspondence, transaction documents, forms, and filings related to the Mobility lines of business.
  • Respond to internal requests for documentation, contract interpretation, and other legal administrative work (e.g., reviewing or preparing attestations or certificates of compliance).
  • Assist with migration of legacy contracts to the organization’s new contract lifecycle management system.
  • Manage contract workflow end-to-end through the contract lifecycle management system, including intake information gathering, drafting and redlining, routing for internal review and approvals, sending for signatures, and updating contract records post-signing.
  • Manage legal matter workflow, including maintaining the legal request queue for matter intake in the workload/matter management system, interfacing with internal stakeholders, and completing administrative tasks related to researching and completing matters for the Mobility legal team.
  • Collaborate with other support functions, including Finance, Compliance, and Risk.
  • Assist with strategic projects as needed.
  • Apply strong written and verbal communication skills and exercise sound judgment and independent decision-making.

Requirements

  • Education: Paralegal degree or certification from an accredited program, or bachelor’s degree, or Juris Doctorate.
  • Experience: 5+ years of paralegal (or equivalent) experience supporting commercial contracts and transactional matters, including drafting and generating agreements, redlining, reviewing contract revisions and comments, and managing contracts through the full contract lifecycle.
  • Experience with legal technologies, including matter management and contract lifecycle management systems.
  • Familiarity with the transportation, fuel, trucking, or factoring industries is preferred (not required).
  • Prior in-house experience supporting one or more sales teams or similar customer-facing roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn IT applications and systems.
  • Strong organization, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills to independently manage a heavy workload while being accountable for work product.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and coordinate input from cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Collaborative, flexible, and adaptable approach to working across functions.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and DocuSign.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the transportation, fuel, trucking, or factoring industries.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay Range: $38.70 - $49.30
  • Base pay reflects the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates vary based on factors including qualifications, skills, competencies, and role proficiency.
