Overview

A global, publicly traded company is seeking a Compliance & Ethics Business and Regulatory Investigations Attorney for a full-time, remote contract engagement. The initial contract duration is 3 months with the potential to extend up to 18 months. This role focuses on conducting and leading internal investigations related to compliance with the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and other anti-corruption/anti-bribery laws.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and perform internal investigations from planning through reporting
  • Conduct investigation interviews and review relevant emails and documents
  • Communicate investigation outcomes to corporate stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with policies and government regulations
  • Work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of combined experience conducting and leading internal investigations focused on compliance and government investigations
  • Experience with investigations related to the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and other anti-corruption statutes
  • Proven ability to draft investigation plans and reports
  • Strong interviewing and document review skills
  • Excellent communication skills with trustworthiness and empathy
  • Outstanding professional references
  • Must be located within the United States

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience at an AmLaw 200 law firm and/or a Fortune 50 publicly traded company

Position Details

  • Employment type: Contract

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annualized pay range: $170,000 to $200,000 (pro-rated for contract duration and hours)
  • Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market factors, and candidate preferences
  • Contract professionals are typically W2 employees eligible for full benefits when working 20+ hours per week
