Overview

An established law firm with over 100 attorneys across New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania is seeking an Attorney specializing in Insurance Defense, Construction Litigation, and New York Labor Law. The firm has a strong reputation for civil litigation and trial experience, having handled thousands of cases and tried over 500 since its founding in the early 2000s. The firm holds an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a personal caseload with day-to-day responsibility
  • Collaborate with team leaders and maintain availability for guidance
  • Communicate with clients and insurance carriers
  • Appear in court for conferences and motions
  • Comply with discovery requirements
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Coordinate medical examinations
  • Prepare and file motions

Requirements

  • Experience in Insurance Defense
  • Knowledge of Construction Litigation
  • Familiarity with New York Labor Law (Sections 240, 241)
  • Handling of Premises and General Liability cases
  • Experience with negligence cases

Work Arrangement

  • Option to work fully remote or hybrid
  • Office locations include Manhattan, Buffalo, Garden City, and Westchester County, New York
