Overview
This Consultant-Document Review role focuses on designing and executing e-discovery best practices for clients. Responsibilities include managing discovery projects, client relationships, and teams of attorneys. This is a remote position open to applicants nationwide.
Responsibilities
- Manage e-discovery projects from collections through document production and deposition preparation
- Foster and grow client relationships, escalating opportunities to senior leadership as appropriate
- Train project team attorneys on document review technology and operational best practices
- Create, track, and manage budget estimates; ensure projects adhere to budget limits
- Design and implement review workflows to address case-specific legal challenges, improve efficiency, and reduce costs
- Integrate new technologies and processes into existing workflows
- Collaborate with offshore teams to ensure seamless delivery of quality work product
- Identify and escalate legal and operational risks
- Comply with information security policies and report any security concerns or breaches
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar licensure
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience independently managing document review projects from collection through production in a law firm or service provider environment
- Strong technical proficiency with relevant industry platforms and tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build client trust
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Proven team player with ability to collaborate internally and externally
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $70,000 to $90,000, depending on education, experience, licensure, certification, geography, and organizational needs
- Select roles may be eligible for incentive compensation through an annual performance bonus or sales commission
