Overview

This contract attorney position supports engagement teams by assisting with fact development, workflow execution, document review, reporting, and engagement administration. The role requires strong legal judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with assembling, analyzing, and documenting facts for engagement matters.
  • Support execution of engagement workflow and administrative activities.
  • Assist with imaging, media processing, document tracking, and chain of custody requirements.
  • Provide support for engagement software access and troubleshooting.
  • Assist in preparing reports based on business issues and facts under analysis.
  • Participate in the review of contracts and other documents according to provided instructions and guidelines.
  • Conduct document review requiring legal training, including relevancy review, issue coding, privilege review, and redaction review.
  • Assist in performing quality control activities for document review as needed.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.
  • Must have passed the bar exam in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • Effective communication skills with all levels of engagement management and clients.
  • Strong professional demeanor with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and responsibilities in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
  • Knowledge of litigation management software such as Concordance, Introspect, Relativity, and applicable cloud-based platforms.
  • Flexibility to meet travel requirements.
  • Foreign language skills are a plus.
  • Must be geographically based in the United States and legally authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Compensation

  • The expected pay range for this contract assignment is $20 - $25 per hour.
  • Exact pay rate will vary based on skills, experience, and location.
  • Employment is through a third-party contractor.
