Overview
Contract Attorney (Remote) opportunity to provide transactional legal support for a technology platform operating in the gig economy. This contract role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts to support scalable operations while ensuring legal compliance and risk mitigation.
Responsibilities
- Draft and review commercial contracts including service agreements, terms of service, and vendor contracts
- Negotiate contract terms to balance business objectives with legal protections
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations in all agreements
- Identify and mitigate legal risks related to contract execution and performance
- Maintain organized contract records, tracking key dates, renewal terms, and obligations
Requirements
- Licensed attorney in good standing with experience in transactional law, preferably involving technology or commercial contracts
- Strong knowledge of contract law principles including formation, interpretation, and enforcement
- Experience drafting and negotiating contracts in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Ability to analyze complex legal and business issues and provide practical solutions
- Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders
