Overview
A nationally recognized law firm is seeking an experienced Contract Attorney for a litigation support role. This engagement involves complex legal research, strategic discovery efforts, and detailed document review. The position offers flexibility to work from a firm office or remotely for qualified candidates located in Ohio, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Colorado, Texas, or Florida. The contract is expected to last approximately 6-9 months.
Responsibilities
- Prepare written work product related to a litigation enforcement matter
- Conduct detailed legal research and analysis
- Collaborate with team members to develop collection and enforcement strategies for third-party discovery
- Review documents for relevance, responsiveness, and privilege considerations
- Ensure compliance with applicable legal and ethical requirements
- Manage review assignments with high accuracy and attention to detail
Requirements
- J.D. degree and active attorney license in good standing
- Several years of commercial litigation experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage large volumes of documents while maintaining consistency and quality
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience reviewing accounting, financial, or related business records
- Experience reviewing foreign-language documents, particularly Spanish-language materials
Location
Candidates must be located in Ohio, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Colorado, Texas, or Florida. Remote work is available for qualified applicants in these states.
