Overview
A branded food company specializing in consumer packaged foods is seeking a dynamic and experienced Contracts Manager and Corporate Paralegal to work part-time on an engagement basis. This is a fully remote position.
Responsibilities
- Review, draft, and negotiate contracts from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with legal and business requirements.
- Lead contract negotiations to align with organizational goals and risk management strategies.
- Develop, implement, and optimize processes, workflows, and tools to enhance legal department efficiency, including contract review, management, retention, and data/records retention policies.
- Support contract lifecycle management and establish standardized contracting procedures for consistency.
- Assist in creating and maintaining contract templates, policies, and guidelines to streamline contracting and ensure compliance.
- Manage and update corporate minute books, records, and state registrations and filings as needed.
- Prepare and deliver training sessions and toolkits to support efficient contracting processes.
- Organize and maintain contracts and legal department files according to corporate policies.
- Collaborate with various departments to integrate legal considerations into business operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Significant experience leading contract review, negotiation, and finalization.
- Experience providing legal and compliance support in regulated industries.
- Proficiency with SharePoint legal portals and contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools/software.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year institution.
- Paralegal education or certification and prior paralegal experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proven ability to handle complex assignments.
- Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Position Details

- Potential for conversion to permanent full-time based on performance and business needs
- Location: Fully Remote, with ability to support West Coast time zones preferred
Compensation & Benefits
- Annualized full-time equivalent compensation ranges from $80,000 to $120,000 or more, based on experience, qualifications, credentials, and location.
- Part-time employees working 20 hours per week are eligible for full benefits, including a Qualified 401(k) plan.
- Benefits include Group Life, Long-Term Disability (LTD), Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D), and professional liability insurance.
- Attorneys may receive Continuing Legal Education (CLE) and professional expense stipends.
