Overview
A legal team in the online gaming industry is seeking a Commercial Contracts/Regulatory/European KYC attorney for temporary leave coverage. This remote role is ideal for candidates with experience in European KYC, regulatory matters, commercial contracts, insertion orders, marketing/advertising campaign agreements, and compliance. Preference is given to candidates with a mix of US and European experience, as well as familiarity with online gaming/gambling and global marketing.
The engagement is expected to last 2-4 months, with the possibility of extension. Candidates located in the Eastern or Central US time zones or the UK will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Support the overall European and US group legal strategy and compliance program
- Manage significant corporate transactions, including commercial, corporate finance, M&A, and intellectual property matters
- Assist with SEC filings as needed
- Implement best practices related to commercial contracts, intellectual property, employment, immigration, licensing, and compliance
- Handle global commercial and M&A matters
- Oversee global KYC and compliance processes, ensuring best practice implementation
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the KYC/Compliance team
- Assist with the formation, setup, and ongoing compliance of subsidiaries
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents and commercial contracts; provide feedback on legal terms and conditions
- Manage regulatory projects and monitor local regulatory developments
- Provide effective legal advice and support across the organization
- Support the SVP, General Counsel, and Legal team with general legal matters
- Occasional travel may be required
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with training from a medium/large law firm or Big 4 firm based in Ireland, the UK, or the US (preference for AmLaw 200 firms)
- Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience (PQE) in commercial and corporate law, including commercial contracts, in Ireland, the UK, or the US
- Broad experience in commercial, corporate, and contract law transactions, preferably with an international element
- Strong understanding of EU, Irish, UK, or US commercial and corporate law and regulations
- Flexibility and adaptability with an aptitude for managing multi-jurisdictional legal matters
- Self-starter with confidence to work autonomously in a fast-paced, multi-time zone environment and manage a varied workload
Position Details
- Role Type: Temporary engagement
- Schedule: Part-time to full-time hours for 2-4 months, possibly longer

Compensation & Benefits
- Annualized pay range (full-time equivalent): $190,000 to $200,000
- Pay is determined by factors including experience, qualifications, location, market conditions, and candidate preferences
