$110,000 - $130,000 annually | Remote (California-based applicants only)
This position provides sophisticated in-house legal support within a collaborative Corporate Legal department. The role reports to the Assistant General Counsel and is Full-Time, Exempt.
Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities include:
- Negotiating, drafting, reviewing, and advising on a variety of contracts, including speaker agreements, vendor contracts, licenses, event agreements, partnership agreements, and other business contracts
- Providing legal advice and counsel to the organization, its subsidiaries, and affiliates on governance, compliance, nonprofit matters, intellectual property, corporate transactions, and general business issues
- Monitoring legal developments affecting trade associations and nonprofit organizations
- Conducting legal research and preparing legal memoranda and other written guidance
- Assisting with development of educational and informational legal resources as needed
- Collaborating with stakeholders throughout the organization on a wide range of legal matters and initiatives
Required Qualifications
Education
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Member of California State Bar
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in a law firm or comparable in-house legal environment
- Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts
- Experience with governance, compliance, non-profit issues or trade associations, intellectual property, and/or corporate transactions (e.g., investments and mergers and acquisitions)

Work Arrangement & Travel
- This position is currently remote.
- Applicants must reside in California.
Travel may include:
- Attendance at business meetings within California approximately three times per year
- Minimal additional travel as business needs require

- $110,000 - $130,000 annually
