Overview

This role is a part-time Corporate Start Up Attorney position (approximately 20 hours per week) supporting remote work. The organization is seeking an experienced attorney to advise startup and mid-sized life sciences and technology clients on sophisticated corporate and transactional matters. The position is designed for an experienced practitioner who wants a flexible, remote schedule while continuing substantive, client-facing work.

Responsibilities

  • Advise startup and mid-sized life sciences and technology clients on corporate and transactional matters
  • Structure, draft, and negotiate agreements
  • Support matters across one or more practice areas including:
    • banking
    • mergers and acquisitions
    • securities offerings
    • patent licensing
    • software licensing
    • technology contracting
  • Provide practical, business-oriented guidance tailored to growth-stage companies
  • Manage client relationships while working effectively in a collegial, team-oriented small-firm environment

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant legal experience in one or more of the following:
    • banking
    • mergers and acquisitions
    • securities offerings
    • patent licensing
    • software licensing
    • technology contracting
  • Admitted to practice law in New York, New Jersey, or Delaware, and in good standing
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Strong legal research skills and ability to provide practical, business-oriented advice tailored to growth-stage companies
  • Outstanding professional references

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay: $70,000 to $100,000 (salary range)
  • Eligible for bonuses
  • Pay is based on multiple factors including work experience, qualifications, credentials, and location
