Overview
This part-time, remote role is for an experienced Corporate Transactions Attorney with strong M&A experience. Engagement is task-based, and performance is evaluated through simulated contract workflows.
You will apply legal judgment to review AI-generated responses for accuracy, risk identification, contractual interpretation, and overall legal quality. Your feedback helps improve AI systems that support legal work.
Compensation & Benefits
- Contract type: Part-time, remote
- Annual compensation equivalent (full-time equivalent): $172,800–$249,600/year
- Hourly rate: $90–$130/hr
- The annual compensation figure is a full-time equivalent calculated at 40 hours per week across 48 workable weeks.
- This is a task-based engagement, so actual earnings depend on completed and approved tasks.
- Average handling time: approximately 3.5 hours per task
- Payment is based on completed tasks that meet project specifications and are successfully approved.
Responsibilities
- Perform simulated contract negotiations and redlining exercises.
- Review and assess AI-generated responses to corporate transaction scenarios.
- Identify legal, drafting, interpretation, and risk-related issues in model outputs.
- Provide clear, actionable feedback to improve response quality and precision.
- Develop objective evaluation frameworks and grading criteria for contract-related tasks.
- Apply consistent legal standards when assessing AI performance.
- Collaborate with product and research teams to refine evaluation guidelines, data, and best practices.
- Translate practical transactional experience into structured feedback suitable for AI evaluation.
Requirements
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- At least 2 years of experience in the M&A department of a corporate law firm.
- Strong familiarity with standard M&A agreements, including:
- Stock Purchase Agreements (SPAs)
- Asset Purchase Agreements (APAs)
- Strong contract drafting, negotiation, review, and redlining experience.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical judgment.
- Ability to translate complex legal reasoning into clear, actionable feedback.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-disciplinary teams in fast-paced environments.
- Interest in the intersection of law, technology, and AI.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with AI, legal technology, or professional training initiatives.
- Experience advising or working with private equity firms.
- Broader experience across complex corporate transactions.
