Overview
This role involves supporting a legal AI training and evaluation project by using expertise in corporate transactions and M&A. Responsibilities include reviewing contracts, performing redlining and negotiation exercises, and providing expert feedback to improve AI-generated legal analysis.

Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and redline contracts
- Conduct simulated negotiations for M&A and contract-related scenarios
- Evaluate AI responses involving M&A and contract subject matter
- Develop objective evaluation criteria for AI performance
- Provide expert feedback to improve AI outputs
- Collaborate with product and research teams on legal AI workflows
Requirements
- Contract redlining experience
- Contract drafting experience
- Contract negotiation experience
- M&A experience
- Familiarity with SPAs and APAs
Qualifications
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- 2+ years of experience in the M&A department of a corporate law firm
- Familiarity with standard M&A agreements, including SPAs and APAs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to translate legal expertise into actionable feedback for AI systems
- Experience working in fast-paced, cross-functional environments
