Overview
This role is an independent contractor (1099) opportunity for licensed attorneys who want to provide real-time legal guidance to users through live video. The employer operates a nationwide attorney network and supports calls related to traffic stops, car accidents, and immigration-related emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Respond to real-time video calls from users when you choose to be available.
- Provide legal guidance within your licensed jurisdiction and area of practice.
- Help users understand their rights and navigate stressful, time-sensitive situations.
- Deliver clear, compassionate, and professional guidance during each interaction.
- Complete required onboarding, technology checks, and periodic training or recertification.
- Represent the employer professionally within your legal community.
- Participate in optional attorney network initiatives, events, or engagement opportunities.
Requirements
- Active license and good standing with the applicable State Bar.
- 1+ years of experience in Criminal Defense, Personal Injury, and/or Immigration law.
- Active malpractice insurance or willingness to obtain coverage before completing onboarding.
- Strong verbal communication and client service skills.
- Ability to communicate calmly and effectively during time-sensitive situations.
- Comfort using technology and providing guidance through live video.
- Commitment to professional, compassionate, and high-quality legal guidance.
- Multiple state licenses are a plus but are not required.
Preferred Qualifications
Compensation & Benefits
- $50–$150 per qualifying supported video call, depending on applicable programs or incentives.
- Most supported video calls are approximately 15 minutes or less.
- Additional referral, engagement, or state-specific incentive opportunities may be available.
