Overview
A client is seeking Criminal Defense Attorneys to provide domain expertise for a project focused on training next-generation AI systems. This role involves applying legal knowledge to help improve how AI models learn, reason, and perform by supplying high-quality, real-world input. No prior AI experience is necessary.
Responsibilities
- Review, annotate, and provide feedback on legal documents and criminal court scenarios to ensure accuracy and contextual relevance.
- Create and evaluate hypothetical case analyses, plea agreements, motions, and trial strategies that reflect real-world criminal defense practices.
- Develop detailed explanations of legal reasoning, evidentiary considerations, and procedural steps in criminal defense contexts.
- Assess system-generated content for legal soundness, clarity, and ethical compliance.
- Craft clear, concise written responses and verbal explanations to complex legal queries.
- Collaborate virtually with a multidisciplinary team to calibrate and refine AI model outputs.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in legal data quality and project methodologies.
Requirements
- Active license to practice law with substantial experience in criminal defense.
- Demonstrated expertise in criminal law, trial advocacy, and case strategy.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven ability to analyze complex fact patterns, legal arguments, and evidentiary issues.
- Experience drafting and reviewing motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Strong commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining client confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote, project-based engagement.
