Digital Reporting Supervisor

Overview

This role supervises the performance of Digital Reporters within an assigned service area, helping deliver service excellence through coaching, training, and quality oversight.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate successful onboarding of new Digital Reporters, including equipment shipment, setting expectations and ways of working, completing onboarding plans, and conducting 30-60-90-day reviews
• Coach Digital Reporters and provide ongoing performance feedback
• Support Digital Reporters through The Court Reporting Academy and the organization’s Apprenticeship Program
• Deliver training for Digital Reporters on skills, policies, compliance, products, and services
• Maintain NetSuite vendor profiles, and monitor and approve time cards and expenses for assigned Digital Reporters
• Build strong relationships between Digital Reporters and stakeholders (including local field offices and transcription teams), and communicate reporter availability to local field teams
• Resolve quality concerns and conduct regular quality performance evaluations against established expectations for record capture
• Participate in the performance review process, including documenting performance issues and partnering with Human Resources on disciplinary action when needed

• Knowledge of court procedures, legal documents, and legal terminology
• Knowledge of adult training principles and methods
• Working knowledge of the MS Office Suite
• Ability to learn the organization’s technology platforms

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of experience working in the legal services industry
• Some college experience or a college degree

• Percentage of jobs turned in on time
• Strong Digital Reporter audio and annotation quality
• Strong overall Digital Reporter performance and retention

Work Environment

• Remote work performed within a normal home office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature, and the like
• Fast-paced environment where coaching, sound judgment, and relationship-building are key
