Overview

A top Am Law firm is seeking an experienced eDiscovery Advisor to join their team. This role is designed for an attorney with significant hands-on experience in eDiscovery who will provide strategic and tactical support across complex litigation matters. Responsibilities include advising on advanced tools and workflows, fact development, privilege work, and managing document review projects. The position involves leadership on some matters and collaboration on others. This is a largely remote role requiring a licensed attorney.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end discovery lifecycle for large, complex litigation cases, including investigation, review, production, and trial preparation
  • Oversee review team onboarding, training, and quality assurance; support substantive review, privilege logging, and fact development under attorney direction
  • Design and implement optimized review workflows using leading tools and protocols such as batching strategies, technology-assisted review (TAR), and defensible search methodologies
  • Coordinate projects by defining scope, tracking progress, leading meetings, and communicating with internal teams, outside counsel, vendors, and clients to ensure schedules and budgets are met
  • Analyze and summarize review findings, provide metrics, identify gaps, flag key documents, and assist case teams in deposition and trial preparation
  • Provide hands-on support with Relativity and other eDiscovery platforms, including privilege logs, advanced searches, quality control, and custom litigation support tools
  • Support team development through training, internal documentation, and contributions to department publications and presentations
  • Execute technical and consulting support for special or urgent client and case team requests as needed

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) degree required
  • Significant experience managing complex document review projects and discovery in large-scale litigation
  • Deep knowledge of the litigation lifecycle and eDiscovery protocols from data preservation through trial
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Relativity and other major eDiscovery platforms
  • Strong skills in search construction, results validation, and review workflow design
  • Familiarity with TAR, analytics tools such as BrainSpace and NexLP, and protocols like CAL/CMML
  • Proven ability to manage and train contract attorneys and guide review teams
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to work after hours, weekends, and travel occasionally as project demands require

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $155,000 - $200,000, commensurate with experience, training, skills, and qualifications
