Overview
This role involves providing legal representation and advisory services across labor and employment matters. Responsibilities include advising clients on employment contracts, workplace policies, and compliance with relevant legislation. Work is full-time and remote-first, requiring consistent availability during standard business hours and effective use of digital collaboration tools.
Responsibilities
- Advise clients on employment contracts, workplace policies, and applicable employment legislation
- Draft and review employment agreements and related documentation
- Prepare legal opinions
- Manage case files and maintain detailed documentation of all case activities
- Conduct legal research and assess risks
- Develop case strategies
- Represent clients in employment tribunals and other dispute resolution forums
- Negotiate and support settlement discussions where appropriate
- Collaborate with colleagues and communicate regularly with clients
Requirements
- Strong foundation in law with demonstrated experience in labor and employment law
- Proficiency drafting, reviewing, and interpreting employment contracts and related documentation
- Experience handling Employment Tribunal proceedings and labor disputes, including advocacy and negotiation
- Excellent legal research, analytical, and writing skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple cases remotely, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a digital environment
- Strong client communication skills, including the ability to explain complex legal issues clearly and respectfully
- License to practice law in at least one relevant jurisdiction
- Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and continuous professional development
