Overview
A global real estate services organization is seeking a Senior Labor & Employment Paralegal to support a lean in-house legal team. This role involves managing a high-volume docket of employment litigation matters, including PAGA, EEOC, discrimination, and wage and hour claims. The paralegal will also support internal investigations and provide guidance to HR and business stakeholders.
This position requires strong in-house experience, the ability to independently manage cases from start to finish, and comfort with managing outside counsel, coordinating discovery, and advising internal teams on next steps. The role is highly autonomous and suited for someone organized, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
The project starts immediately, is expected to last 3–4 months with potential for conversion, is fully remote, and requires 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Manage a high-volume docket of employment litigation matters including PAGA, EEOC, discrimination, and wage and hour claims
- Support internal investigations related to labor and employment issues
- Advise HR and business stakeholders on employment litigation and related matters
- Independently run cases from initiation through resolution
- Manage outside counsel and coordinate discovery processes
- Guide internal teams on next steps and case strategy
Requirements
- Significant in-house labor and employment paralegal experience
- Ability to independently manage cases from start to finish
- Experience managing outside counsel and coordinating discovery
- Strong organizational skills and proactive approach
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, autonomous environment
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly rate: $65 to $75, based on qualifications, skillset, relevant experience, client needs, and project requirements
- Remote work arrangement
- 40 hours per week
